Concerning News

These are concerning stories I’m watching. Mostly just waiting to see what happens next. I’m not going to write a full piece here today about each of them, just some headings and links, with the occasional quote and comment, and maybe a final summary.

 

UN Pact for the Future

On Sunday the United Nations took just five minutes to vote to take over the world. This was the UN Pact for the Future. They called it a consensus, but at least seven nations were opposed, because it did not include amendments they wanted. These included Russia, Iran, North Korea, Belarus, Syria and Nicaragua. Argentina’s President Milei spoke against the pact and excoriated the UN (see below), but Argentina isn’t on the opposition list. The vote was silent; if a nation didn’t speak in opposition in a given moment, their “silence” was considered consent.

While this pact is similar to other UN documents—lofty goals without much accountability—there is an underlying intent with this one to move the UN from an international cooperative body to an international governing body. And it intends to use businesses to assert pressure for them.

·       “Argentina's 'chainsaw' president tells the UN to shove its 'socialist' 'Pact for the Future'” Joseph Mackinnon, The Blaze, September 26, 2024.   Argentina’s President Milei spoke against the Pact at the UN. He described it as “an attempt to build a totalitarian system of conformity across the business sector.” He said that Argentina would have nothing to do with centralizing world government and taking away sovereignty and human rights. This phrase also caught my eye: the UN “has transformed into a multi-headed leviathan that seeks to decide not only what each nation-state should do but also how all the citizens of the world should live.” I highlighted the phrase, which refers to the Revelation 13 sea beast—the worldwide cabal, the powers of darkness spreading across the nations of the earth. I don’t think the UN contains all of that beast; but I do think that beast includes the UN as presently constituted.

·       “The Most Important Event That No One is Talking About!” The Happy Lady, September 27, 2024.  The Happy Lady podcast is Latter-day Saint interest, with a lot of connecting dots in things in the news; she sees “pay attention numbers” all over the place, and she definitely thinks the Second Coming is soon. Between her and Christian Fire Poppy (who looks at signs in the heavens, and uses Stellarium.com as an astronomy resource far better than I have figured out how to do on my own) and Allie Duzett (who looks at the energy of the planets, a sort of different way of approaching astrology), I see more than my share of odd connections being made—enough to feel like the crazy guy in A Beautiful Mind. Nevertheless, I often find them interesting. The Happy Lady had this in her description box for this video: “America was just given into bondage by our administration as the world system of the beast was officially put into place while world leaders cheered. We're headed into a month of Hebrew feasts, worldwide prophetic revelation, jubilees, judgments, prophecy fulfillment, darkness, while celebrating the Light of the World and preparing for our Savior's return.” So President Milei (above) wasn’t the only one calling the UN the beast from Revelation 13.

·       “The U.S. Must Oppose the U.N. Pact for the Future” Brett Schaefer, The Heritage Foundation, September 16, 2024.  This was ahead of the vote by several days. Unfortunately, the current US administration is gung-ho in favor of worldwide centralized governance.

 

War in Israel

War is escalating in Israel. Last week there was the innovative targeted attack via pagers (see below), and then walkie-talkies. This week Israel attacked headquarters of Hezbollah. Headquarters were hidden beneath neighborhoods in Lebanon. Israel gave warning to residents to evacuate—as they usually do. It appears a major Hezbollah leader was killed in the attack, Hassan Nasrallah. While I wouldn’t call this Armageddon just yet, escalation has continued steadily for nearly a year now, since the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas, supported by Hezbollah, Iran, and other anti-Israel sources. In other words, Armageddon is more likely to result from this continuation than from an interim peace before some future war.

Assassination Attempts on Donald Trump

Initial Findings Report p. 1

This week a J13 (i.e., July 13, 2024) Initial Findings Report came out, of the investigation into the Secret Service and other government security lapses. I believe this comes from the Senate investigation so far. There are two versions: short and long. There also continues to be more information about the September 15 assassination attempt:

J6 and Other Plots

Two pieces of information came out this week. One is a record showing that President Trump made a direct order to the military to use National Guard or active duty military—whatever it would take to maintain safety when so many people would be at the capitol.

·       “Bombshell transcripts: Trump urged use of troops to protect Capitol on Jan. 6 , but was rebuffed” John Solomon, Just the News, September 23, 2024.  Since the prosecution of Donald Trump for inciting violence on J6 requires a guilty mind, the prosecutors have hidden this information, which shows Trump’s priority was safety at the capitol; he wanted no violence. It should mean the charges are dropped.

The other piece of information relates to the media-forgotten story about the pipe bomber at the DNC on J6. After four years, officials still have not identified the person who planted the bomb. The security footage they released was grainy—in a way that current technology is not—and would not provide enough clarity, they said. This week Revolver News released testimony from a whistleblower—an investigator from a different government organization—who saw the actual security footage, which was clear, included both camera angles, and might possibly have provided identifiers (markings on clothing, facial recognition). He saw this at the DNC, not provided by the FBI. It appears FBI officials do not want the person identified. I (and plenty of others—see Dan Bongino) speculate that this was a plot to make it look like the soon-to-be-sworn-in VP Kamala Harris had an assassination attempt against her, but when adequate rioting broke out at the capitol building, they decided to push that insurrection narrative instead. We still don’t have an explanation for why Harris was at the DNC that historic day, when she was about to be named the first woman VP (and first Asian VP, and first black VP). We know she was at the DNC; her security entourage/vehicles are there. But she now claims she was afraid for her life at the capitol, with other senators supposedly under attack.

One more Trump lawfare-related bonus item. Robert Gouveia had a conversation with Joe Sweeney, a former CIA lawyer specializing in classified document protection in legal cases, about his book Dangerous Injustice: How Democrats Weaponized DOJ to Protect Biden and Persecute Trump.  He details the many things wrong with the case against President Trump and the raid at Mar-a-Lago.

P Diddy Arrest

I do not know much about this performer. I would not recognize any of his music and would have to have any photo of him labeled to recognize him. However, this looks a lot like the Jeffrey Epstein case, in which a very rich person is surrounded by elites, and rumors abound that he has video of them in compromising situations, for blackmail or control purposes. While I heard it brought up on a number of podcasts, a quick online search for stories is bare of the conspiracy angle.

Hurricane Helene

This storm hit landfall near Tampa, Florida, as a category 4 hurricane. As the storm moved north and inland, six states have declared emergencies: Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Warnings went out to 60 million people in 12 states. Many people remain without power, water, or cell service.

Conclusions

It was a big news week. And these stories may seem random. Maybe they are. But maybe we can look at them as signs of the times. The UN story and the various stories related to the Deep State in the US relate to the Revelation 13 sea beast, helped along by the other beast—the false speaker or propaganda beast. The P Diddy story may be part of that sea beast. Maybe not, but it definitely exemplifies evil.

Then there’s war in Israel, which might be a precursor to Armageddon. We’ll wait and see, and hope for mercy.

And the seas surge beyond their bounds, with catastrophes spreading across many states. Just a normal hurricane season? Maybe. Or maybe it’s an example of the bad stuff—the tribulations—of the last days. At some point, if I’m understanding scriptures accurately (a very iffy if), then other plagues or catastrophes will come that will be aimed mainly at the wicked, rather than anyone in the way. That means the ones we’re seeing now are a wake-up call: repent now; there’s not much time left. In scripture, blessing prophecies are always certain, but warning prophecies can be averted by repentance. And, at the very least, there is protection for the repentant.

There are interesting signs in the heavens. Christian Fire Poppy showed what was in the skies when the hurricane hit Florida.  As is typical, the signs in the heavens—often aptly named asteroids or comes or other heavenly bodies—show up around the constellation Virgo, or woman in the sky described in Revelation 12. We’re also about to see the coinciding of Rosh Hashanah, an annular eclipse, and probably more I’m not remembering in about a week. That also happens to be the weekend of the Worldwide General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I’ll definitely be watching to hear from our 100-year-old prophet and other wise leaders, in case they have something to tell us on how to navigate these crazy times we’re in.

So, it’s just another week of concerning news, typical of the very last days foretold in prophecy.

Predicting the Future: More Bad or Good at Last

I am not particularly good at predicting the future. But here we are at the beginning of a new year. So why not?

It seems to me things could go either of two ways: more bad, or good at last. Of course I would prefer good at last. And we know the good will come at last (read Revelation). But timing isn’t up to me.

It’s a presidential election year, and it’s a strange one. The leading Republican candidate—by overwhelming percentage points, such that no one else really needs to bother—is former President Donald Trump. Maybe the challengers are hanging on in hopes of something untoward happening to Donald Trump, or because they think their “next in line” status might boost them to the VP slot, which is not going to be offered to Mike Pence ever again. Or maybe they are simply oblivious to reality, blinded by their own glaring narcissism.

That means the upcoming primary election for the Republicans will be fairly simple. It’s only two months away (with some variation by state). It should go smoothly, if polling is even in the ballpark of accurate.

And yet, the desperation of the Democrat (and anti-Trump Republican) efforts to prevent the obvious and inevitable is startling. I lose count, but I think there are five lawsuits against Trump underway right now, timed to interfere with the primary season and the rest of the election year. (Read more here.) You would think that, in even a single unprecedented lawsuit against a former president—who is currently a candidate—evidence would have to be so overwhelming that no one would even question the verdict. And yet, every single case is a ticky-tack, invented “crime.”

For example, Trump supposedly committed fraud—according to New York State—by overestimating the value of his Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, which he used to secure business loans. The court’s estimate of that property is preposterously low. The banks who loaned money based on Trump’s estimate were satisfied with the estimate, might have estimated the value even higher, and regardless were willing to make the loans—which were repaid with interest. So there is a disagreement about the value of a property; there was no fraud. There was no one harmed or injured monetarily or otherwise. There is no crime. And it certainly was no business of a New York state court to invent one just so they could prosecute the former President and current presidential candidate during the critical election year.

Another one, the classified documents case, is a disagreement about whether the former President can possess his own documents, or whether the National Archives should hold them. And they used a SWAT team at the former President’s residence, attempting to make it look like he was in the act of selling America’s secrets to enemy nations. (I wrote more here.)

Meanwhile, multiple stashes of classified documents were found in the possession of Biden—from when he was VP and a US Senator—both positions that did not entitle him to take any classified documents away from a secure location. And there is evidence, particularly in the University of Pennsylvania stash, that China paid for Biden to have a position there, where he never taught a class or did anything to merit millions of dollars, but coincidentally staffers paid for by Chinese donations just happened to get hired on by the Biden administration. Did the Chinese get access to those documents in exchange for their payments? Or did they just get influence?

I’m not an investigative reporter. If I know about these things, then they are known by other reporters (read more here; also, John Sullivan did good reporting on the University of Pennsylvania/China connection), and by government officials.

What I’m saying is, those who do the wrongdoing are desperately trying to retain their power, and greatly fear a return of President Trump—now that he knows their secrets, because of their conspiring so obviously against him and against the American people.

So, how far will they go? Every time they indict Trump, his poll numbers go up. The American people—and especially conservatives—are law-abiding. So the assumption had been, if he’s indicted, and especially if he’s convicted of something—anything—then his base will abandon him. And that hasn’t happened. People who care about the rule of law aren’t fooled by people who use lawfare as a weapon against them.

If the lawsuits won’t work, there’s taking him off the ballot. But that can’t stand, because it disenfranchises hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of voters in each of those states—for no legal reason. We have had presidential candidates on the ballot when they were in prison. We have had presidential candidates who have been accused of crimes. That is not a constitutionally disqualifying factor. This will probably be decided by the Supreme Court. Although it’s always worrisome when the preservation of our Constitution depends on the opinions of nine unelected judges, at least we have more somewhat-conservatives on the Court—because of Donald Trump.

The attempt to invoke the 14^th Amendment—which was intended to prevent leaders of the Confederacy from running for US President right after the Civil War—requires convincing the country that President Trump committed insurrection—while he was President (thus insurrecting against himself), engaging in investigations into the legality of the election, which it is his duty to protect. They have to label an event that wasn’t an insurrection, just to stir people up, and they have to convince people that asking for peaceful assembly—and later “go home in peace”—was really telling people, by dog-whistle message, to attack the government and stage a coup. Except, there isn’t even an accusation of insurrection in any of the court cases or impeachments against him—because there wasn’t an insurrection.

Meanwhile, there was this insurrection in the US Capitol, which included a US Congresswoman. And this one in the California State Capitol. Don’t expect to see consequences for the participants in these unlawful acts. 

So, if taking him off the ballot fails, what else will they try? If they truly believe Trump is Hitler—and their rhetoric certainly portrays him that way (despite the lack of millions of deaths, or authoritarian rule, as they are attempting)—would they try to assassinate him? Tucker Carlson has mentioned it. Others probably as well. But would the Deep Staters dare do that, when it is so obvious that they are conspiring against him?

They aren’t clear, logical thinkers. So I wouldn’t put it past them. But I hope not.

They might try stealing the election again. But usually that only works when the margin of error is small, and when it can be turned by a limited number of places—as in 2020. With 10-point leads, any election tampering—especially when we’re watching, because we saw what they did before—is going to be clumsy and obvious.

So what else will they try? Another pandemic, so serious that they have to “call off the election for the sake of our safety”? I don’t think we’ll buy that, after all the COVID lies. Will they come up with some other disaster?

I don’t know what to picture. But if more bad continues, I can’t envision an election actually happening in November.

I’m not the only one wondering these things. People are starting to use the term “black swan event,” meaning something unforeseen and unpredictable will happen. (There was this mention by Catherine Herridge a little over a week ago. This came up on social media group today; the interviewee suggests it might take the form of a major cyber attack in October.) The thing is, you shouldn’t be able to expect a black swan event, but we’re using the term in predictions—because it’s so likely they’ll try to come up with something, since for them another Trump presidency would end life as they know it (they term this “ending democracy,” in hopes that will fool people).

Meanwhile, we need to keep calm and carry on, as the saying goes.

Good at Last

What if good at last actually happens. What might that look like?

In our country, maybe Biden will become too nonfunctional for them to trot out “Weekend at Bernie’s” style. This seems a likely possibility between now and November. The other possibility is that the growing evidence of his influence peddling as a family business will be seen for the treason that it is, and he will be thrown out. Then what? By law, his VP would be required to step in for the remainder of the term. But that is such a distasteful possibility, I think those now covering for and propping Biden up are assuming they can do that endlessly.

Or maybe his failure will come right about at the time of the Democrat convention, and they’ll just throw out all the Dem Primary votes in the country and come out of the convention with whomever the Deep Staters want—an absolute failure such as Gavin Newsome (note his debate with Ron DeSantis) or the never-run-anything-in-her-life-but-is-a-perfect-shill-for-Barack, Michelle Obama. With only two months in front of the people, maybe they could hide how ineffectual, Marxist, and America-hating she is.

OK, none of that looks like good at last yet.

What if the Deep State got completely uncovered—all the names, all the information? And they all had to leave in disgrace? Every last conspirator against the Constitution! Sweet justice! That would be nice.

Do I picture it happening? It is happening.

This week a list of Epstein names came up. This wasn’t the “black book”; according to Kash Patel, that’s being held by the FBI—for, um, security purposes. This was just the Ghislaine Maxwell trial transcripts with names no longer redacted (except names of victims, which are still redacted). There may be a few new names, but so far nothing earthshaking. Headlines declared that Trump was on the list, but that was for the ignorant. If you read, you find out he is exonerated. He never went to the island. He expelled Epstein from Mar-a-Lago years before Epstein’s first trial. Trump cooperated with investigators into Epstein. And testimony from witnesses in the trial, after being asking repeatedly if they had seen Trump at any of Epstein’s places, was that they had never seen him.

Another news item today is the disclosure of election fraud evidence—by Trump. An X account of KanekoaTheGreat was forwarded to me.  This very long thread starts with an overall summary of the import of this information. Then it goes into a more detailed summary of problems in Georgia. There’s so much wrong with that election that it should never have been certified. That’s as far as I’ve read so far. But next come Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Michigan. I’ve been following election fraud details all along (read here, here, here, here, here, and here), but these include things I hadn’t been aware of.

The evidence has been there, and accumulating, all along. It has never been allowed to be shown in court—where the American people could see it. So it appears Trump is doing what he does: taking it directly to the people. Expect mainstream media to ignore it.

At some point, though, things have to be made right. The description in Revelation is that Babylon falls in an hour (Revelation 18). And the Savior fights His own battles—actually, it looks like, despite any actual battles being carried out in Armageddon, in the end, His power is so great that the battles are simply ended. Possibly His glory “burns” the wicked (symbolically or literally, or maybe both).

And then the survivors (the decent, upright people of the earth) will establish order according His righteous rule.

That will happen. This year? I don’t know. But, with our world in the mess it’s in, this would be a good time for rescue. And there are some reasons to consider the possibility. For one, there’s a war going on in Israel; that seems like it could escalate any moment into Armageddon.

There’s an eclipse coming up in April—the third in a series over the US, the combined paths of totality forming an aleph, the first letter of the ancient Hebrew alphabet. The first was September 2017, the second October 2023. The April 8, 2024, eclipse falls on the eve of Nissan 1, the beginning of the Jewish new calendar year. Maybe that’s a significant sign in the heavens. It’s not too far into the future for us to wait and see.

We did that for the 1290 days mentioned in Daniel 12, counting from the closing of the temples worldwide in March 2020 until October 7, the day of the Hamas attack on Israel. Counting the 1335 days mentioned in the next verse of Daniel—guessing that was a concurrent count, rather than sequential—took us to November 21, 2023, when there was a temporary ceasefire to return many of those who had been kidnapped. Was that a big enough thing for Daniel to have mentioned all those centuries ago? I don’t know. I’m continuing to watch and wait.

Incidentally, five months from November 21 takes us to the eve of Passover, April 21, 2024, which seems significant. What could happen in five months? Revelation 9 mentions a time of torment for five months: “and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.” It’s going to sting. But not to fear if you’re among the righteous, described as “grass of the earth,” “any green thing”, or “any tree,” along with those who have covenanted their allegiance to God, “have the seal of God in their foreheads.”

So there’s going to be something that stings the unrighteous. They’ll want to die and be unable to. I don’t know how to picture this. Descriptions of the “sting” include locusts shaped like horses prepared for battle (armored swarms), with crowns (royalty or government power), hair of women, teeth of lions. I don’t know what that all means. But these scary stinging locust plagues, as John the Revelator saw them, “had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.”

We’re a month and a half into this particular five months, since November 21^st, and I don’t see this plague stinging the unrighteous. But maybe it is happening in a way I don’t see or understand. Or (more likely) maybe that five-month plague will happen some other time.

Still, things are happening. There are earthquakes, floods, lightning strikes, solar flares, volcanic eruptions. More than usual? You have to know what’s usual. YouTuber Christian Homestead puts all kinds of things into a spreadsheet—including various natural disasters. It’s accessible in the description of each of his videos. It looks to me like these sorts of disasters are becoming more frequent, and maybe more intense.

One point Jared of Christian Homestead makes is that, however things happen, they’re likely to look natural, such that people who don’t want to believe can ascribe some other explanation—like climate change, for example.

Mr. Spherical Model has pointed out that, if the Second Coming is to “come as a thief in the night,” then looking for really obvious events that everyone can see is probably not going to work.

It may be more like the wise men who looked for the Star of Bethlehem. They knew what to look for, and approximately when to expect it. Other people who were not looking probably shrugged and thought, “Huh, that star is kind of bright. I don’t remember that one being there,” and then going back to their oblivious lives instead of celebrating the Savior’s birth.

What we should expect is that the Second Coming will come in a time of great evil (check). When evil is called good and good is called evil (check). When there are “beasts,” one representing collusions of power spreading across the globe, supported by a second, lying beast that makes the first beast seem powerful. I’d say the Deep State and its corollaries around the world, supported by a combination of media and academia that lie to support the other “beast” is about as clear as any of the symbolic descriptions in Revelation (so, check).

That means the world not going to get better on its own. It’s not likely to get better just because many of us are working in our communities—and working with governments at all levels—to make things better. We need to do those things. But it’s more to declare our allegiance to God than it is to personally win the war against evil.

So, predicting this year: either more bad will keep happening—and we’ve grown accustomed to things not being made right. Or good at last will happen, and all things will be made right, which I think will only happen if this is the year the Savior returns. That would be the brightest outlook for a year that otherwise looks to be both frustrating and scary.

As a line from one of our hymns says, “There is hope smiling brightly before us, and we know that deliverance is nigh.”

May this be the year that we witness good at last.

Yet Another Indictment for Non-Crimes

We have a scripture reading schedule at church, and my husband and I do some daily reading to keep up. Thursday morning we happened to be on Acts 24, in which Paul is accused of sedition. Those bringing him before the authorities have no evidence to provide against him. They are prosecuting him mainly because of his beliefs, which differ from their own.

This was nearly 2000 years ago, but it looks an awful lot like current news headlines.

On Tuesday, law vlogger Robert Gouveia went through the indictment, reading major portions of it online, splashed with some of his commentary. [He’s been covering this every day. This is Wednesday’s, which was also good. You can get all the clips and sources he uses from his daily mind map, available on his website, RobertGouveia.com.] Most surprising, he points out, is that there is no charge for seditious conspiracy. There are members of the Proud Boys in prison right now, convicted of seditious conspiracy, who claim they were led by Donald Trump. But there’s no charge that Trump was conspiring with them or participating in any actual sedition.

Of course there’s the possibility that they’ll add that charge later in a superseding indictment. Nothing is past the government at this point.

But, in reading through what the charges actually are, it comes down to this: Trump was told by multiple people that the election was not stolen, and that his plan to have alternate electors considered was not legally sound. He therefore knew (had mens rea) that what he was saying about the election was not true, and that what he was asking for in the counting of electors couldn’t be done.

What the charging document fails to note is that there were also multiple people, including very respectable legal counsel, telling him what most readers here believe: there was enough wrong with the election to suspect, or even assume, it was stolen. And one reading of the Constitution—which has historic precedence, and which the Democrats have attempted multiple times this century—is that when a state’s slate of electors are challenged, Congress can go into discussions and consider the claims of both sides. (Side note: there was enough confusion about what the VP had the power to do that a 2022 law clarifies it—meaning there was plenty of ambiguity in 2020.)

The various legal counsel with that opinion are now being called co-conspirators in an attempt to defraud the United States.

Charlie Kirk, on his Wednesday, August 2, podcast, interviewed attorney John Eastman and asked him whether he could confirm speculation that he was one of the co-conspirators. John Eastman verifies:

Yeah, well, it’s— It doesn’t take much to go from speculation to confirmation. They quote unindicted co-conspirator number 2; they quote a number of public documents of mine that are in the public realm. So, anybody that spends half a minute looking at this stuff knows I’m co-conspirator number 2. My attorneys put out a statement to that effect last night. But I suppose it’s good news, from my point of view, that I’m an unindicted co-conspirator rather than an indicted conspirator. I look forward to maybe being called as a witness, to come to President Trump’s defense.

Because, getting legal advice about contested interpretations of constitutional provisions is not and never has been and never should be a criminal action.

The most important point here is that getting legal advice about contested interpretations of law must not ever be considered criminal. You can think one way or another about Trump and still want the actual rule of law—rather than lawfare—to prevail.

This is both ridiculous and extremely dangerous. Legal counsel isn’t required to be right or else be punished with prison. Legal counsel is to give a plaintiff advice about ways to present a case. It is about presenting ideas and opinions in what is intended to be an adversarial system. You eliminate any balance of the scales of justice, if one side arbitrarily gets to decide it is right—before trial—and anyone disagreeing is not only wrong but illegally subversive.

John Eastman goes on to describe what we might call lawfare:

What’s really going on here is an attempt to prevent people who are unpopular with the elites in our country from having competent legal representation—from having any representation at all. The effort by the 65 Project to go after every one of the attorneys that was involved in any of these election challenges—they make no bones about it. They specifically said, “Our goal here is not just to have them disbarred, but to make them toxic in their firms and in their communities so that right-wing legal talent will never take on these election challenges again.” Of course, if that’s succeeds, then it clears the path for complete manipulation of election processes without anyone willing or able to step up to challenge it in the courts.

It takes a certain personality to engage in lawfare. Prosecutor Jack Smith is one such example. In a podcast (“Jack Smith - A Psychological Analysis” August 2, 2023) Mr. Reagan (Christopher Kohls) might be on the verge of name calling. But he calls out prosecutor Jack Smith as a nerd—a cool-guy wannabe who hasn’t grown out of his awkwardness even well into middle age. Smith exaggerates, uses dramatic emphasis in his delivery, and in every way verifies to us that he is unhinged by his hatred of all things related to Trump—and, by extension, all of us. His wife produced a documentary on Michelle Obama. There isn’t a chance Smith is unbiased or professional. He’s just a tool.

It has been a while since I read Orwell’s 1984. I remember the “memory hole” way of changing history. Check. And I remember the unwillingness to accept differing views. Check. I remember the protagonist, Winston, being subjected to something considered therapeutic to eliminate his unwillingness to submit to the state’s version of truth—until he finally comes out gladly proclaiming that 2+2=5. Let’s call that an attempted check so far. In the book, did they arrest and imprison people for disagreeing with Big Brother? Maybe they did. So, we’re either like the 1984 dystopia, or we’re worse.

I say this as I still freely write this and post it (albeit in obscurity). Because, at this point government power is attempting to be absolute, but the people have not yet submitted.

Two podcasts I listened to played a clip of one of Rush Limbaugh’s last broadcasts [The Benny Show and the Charlie Kirk podcast]. It’s worth quoting Rush here:

I know that they desperately want Trump gone. And I know that they desperately want it codified that Trump cannot run again, because, make no mistake, they remain scared to death of you, and they remain scared to death of Trump. Trump’s 75 million, 80 million votes. And I’m going to tell you, you’re not going anywhere. Even if Trump does, you’re not. They can’t separate you from Trump. And, more importantly, they can’t separate you from the ideas. They can’t separate you from MAGA. They can’t separate you from Make America Great Again—which I think remains one of our big campaign strengths going forward. They believe that they can destroy this bond that exists between you and Trump, if they somehow make Trump look bad, make Trump look like a reprobate, embarrass you about Trump. They can’t do it, because you came before Trump.

Rush reminded us that their persecution of Trump is essentially a proxy war for their persecution of us—the ones with minds that they do not yet control. They can’t stand not controlling us. And Trump is in their way. Trump himself has said as much.

The enemy seems to have this misconception that, because our side is made up of law-abiding citizens, we must be scandalized by a federal indictment of a candidate. Trump must be bad if the feds have brought charges against him, right? But too many of us see this as it is: a political attack—on us, through him. So his poll numbers go up.

OK, back to the document. One of the charges suggests Trump is guilty of “conspiracy against rights,” whatever that means. Charlie Kirk explained it on his show:

Conspiracy against rights. What in the fresh heck is conspiracy against rights? 18 U.S.Code § 241. What in the heck is that? Conspiracy against rights?

Well, it was passed in the 1870s, known as the KKK Act. Not used very frequently. It’s hard to prove. But for those of you that watch our show closely and carefully, for those of you that take our warnings seriously, there was a test case.

Do you remember the young, innocent man, who we tried our best to raise legal support for? Who— Actually, I think Turning Point donated I think $10,000 to his legal fund. Douglass Mackey. Does that name ring a bell? Well, recently Douglass Mackey was sentenced—well, I don’t know if he’s been sentenced; he’s been convicted, awaiting sentencing—because he made a meme in the 2016 election. Remember that? Because he made a meme making fun of Hillary Clinton, the Biden DOJ goes and says, “We’re going to put you in federal prison.”

Now, we were infuriated about this. Tucker Carlson, to his great credit. By the way, there’s clear examples of Democrats doing the exact same thing. Douglass Mackey, being a white, conservative meme warrior, faces nearly a decade in federal prison. But it was a test case. Because they indicted him on 18 U.S.C. § 241, Conspiracy against rights, dusting off a KKK era bill, a law that allows the federal government to criminalize your activity, your constitutional rights, if it’s a threat to the regime—if they can convince twelve people to do it.

This is a well-orchestrated legal trial-and-error. They try it on Douglass Mackey to be able to use it against Donald Trump.

And a lot of people said, “Oh, the Douglass Mackey thing. He made a meme. How does that impact me?” Well, Douglass Mackey was patient zero. Douglass Mackey was patient zero of the dusting off of 18 U.S.C. § 241, Conspiracy against rights.

It’s clearly satire, mocking low-information Democrat voters. If someone lacks the intelligence to know that, without a well-publicized change in the law (see 2020, when such things as illegal voting process changes happened, but were definitely well-publicized), you have to actually vote in person, not by social media post, then that person lacks the intelligence to vote. Now, while we don’t have an intelligence test for voters (although there are times when that might seem like a prudent option to pursue), a real voter ought to know, among all the other facts, that there is more than one race on the ballot, so you actually need a ballot in order to vote. This satire didn't infringe on any actual person's right to vote. Nevertheless, Mackey is convicted, pending appeal.

The timing of the Trump indictment seems to be following a pattern. More than one person has pointed out the correlation between bad news coming out about Biden and new charges against Trump. [As an aside, there’s a similar correlation between bad Biden news and alien reports—called UAPs now instead of UFOs.] Trump attorney Alina Habba provides the list: 

The fact that I am standing here for the third time in five months is not a coincidence. This is the Biden political lawfare that we have seen time and time again. It is a deflection from everything that they have done. And if you don’t believe me, look at the facts:

·        On March 17 Hunter accidentally admits that it was his laptop from hell. The next day DA Alvin Bragg indicts President Trump.

·        June 8^th, an FBI document is released, showing that the Ukrainians paid the Biden crime family millions and millions of dollars. The next day, the Mar-a-Lago Raid, and the Mar-a-Lago indictment.

·        Last week Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal fell through when the judge realized it had blanket immunity. The following day, a superseding indictment against Donald Trump.

·        July 31^st Devon Archer goes to testify in front of the House. That was only after they failed to put him in jail prior to the fact. What happens the next day? The January 6^th indictment that we’re here for today.

This is not a coincidence. This is election interference at its finest, against the leading candidate right now for president, for either party. President Trump is under siege in a way that we have never seen before. President Trump and his legal team, and everyone on his team, will continue to fight—not for him, but for the American people.

 In his Wednesday night special, Glenn Beck went over a number of things we’re facing. But there was something somewhat hopeful that he said:

You have to realize you have the power still. You have all of the real power. You just don’t believe it. The Deep State was forcibly exposed last week in court. Does that happen without people like you and me speaking out every time we see this stuff? I don’t think it does.

The exposure needs to continue, because, if we don’t, we will lose.

It’s hard to see times as bad as these and be hopeful. But companies who showed that they hate their customers have learned they need those customers more than the customers need those companies. This has been true for Budweiser, Target, Disney, and a number of others. We stop doing business with them, and the companies sink. We had more power than we realized.

We have that power—God given—in the political sphere as well. We used to think it was our collective votes that made us powerful, but they have mainly taken that from us. So it will have to be either recovering free and fair elections or some other way we can’t yet see. May God show us what to do, and when, so we can recover our constitutional republic!
